Willow Glen Care Center has several locations throughout Northern California designed to serve multiple levels of care and behavioral health programming for adults and the elderly mentally ill.   In addition to providing transitional, short and long term levels of residential care, the Yuba City location is located adjacent to acute psychiatric inpatient services.  Willow Glen Care Center and it’s associated programs are designed to coordinate care with county mental health agencies to facilitate referrals, care and treatment, discharge planning and placement.

Iris House Philosophy & Treatment Planning

Quality of life is the intangible element in social rehabilitation; however, we feel it is the greatest priority.  From the highest standards of care, progressive treatment programs, and comfortable living areas and grounds, to a caring staff able to provide the level of care each of us expects for our loved ones, we are committed to providing the quality of life that brings dignity and self-respect to all clients.

Since clients are considered for shorter stays (typically three to 30 days), the treatment plan generated by both client and staff will be focused on strength-based short-term goals.  Goals are to teach participants self-management skills and strategies for dealing with psychiatric symptoms that led to crisis/acute levels.  Goals can be met by using workshop-style topics, presentations, demonstrations, interactive discussions, and related activities for wellness.  Iris House shifts the focus from symptom control to prevention and recovery.  Taking active responsibility is encouraged to promote higher levels of stability and quality of life.
